Beamish Cobble stone – Driveway in Stanley, Durham
As the photos shows this driveway was tarmac but the customer wanted driveway block paving and beamish cobbles in particular. The finished height of the drive was too high to be retained by anything other than a new brick wall so this was built first. The brickwork was matched with the house and the top course the same as other walls in the street. The customer went for Stone in colour with a charcoal block paved border.
New Driveway Installation – Wallsend, near Newcastle
The owner of this property found that they didn’t have time for the garden and the front of the house needed a change! They were also looking to have the driveway opened up as to allow for a second car. They had a friend who had recently had Beamish Cobbles installed from Total Driveways and decided to choose the same although there choice of Beamish Cobble colour was brindle. The old walling would have looked completely out of place alongside the new block paving so Red Antique garden walls were installed. The customer required a much larger than normal front step for access reasons and this was also created. Aco storm drains were fitted across the front of the driveway to abide with current planning regulations there for no need to apply for planning permission. With the brick walls erected and the driveway paving laid Total Driveways were pleased to have another happy customer.

Garden Patio in Durham
This customer had an idea of what they wanted but admitted what they got was fantastic. This garden patio in Durham was completely transformed. At first they were thinking about Artificial Grass but decided to go with flags and blocks. The full area was removed along with the fencing. New garden walls with pillars were built and a mixture of charcoal blocks and Cotswold patio stone finished the job perfect.
Block paved patio - Sunderland Tyne and Wear
The owner of this patio in Sunderland couldn’t really use the patio they had for anything other than standing the bins on. They wanted an estimate for something that they could use in the summer that was maintenance free, looked good and wasn’t too expensive. Total Driveways created this block paved patio area using Thomas Armstrong block paving in brindle with charcoal block paved borders, this kind of patio is a practical choice that won’t break the bank.
New Patio Installation – Gosforth, Newcastle
When we first arrived at this property we were made aware that it was up for sale, and the customer felt that may be the old patio slabs were letting it down. So they decided to renew the patio area to improve the garden for the sale of the house or for the chance they might end up staying put. Their choice of Patio stones was Ashbourne Cotswold with an border of charcoal block paving. The installation also included two steps and one recessed manhole cover. Whether they stay or go someone will get some real enjoyment out of this beautifully modern Patio.
Block Paving Cleaning and Sealing - Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear
The owner of this property reckoned that this driveway was around seventeen years old, and although they had power washed it themselves it hadn’t really had the desired effect, this block paving driveway was cleaned first by our high powered machines the fully re-sanded before the application of a specialist pre-polymer urethane resin sealer which is designed to enhance colours and radically reduce weeds.

This house had a few different dirty surfaces ranging from tarmac driveway to concrete flagged paths and two Indian sandstone patio paving circles. They had never been cleaned before and customer was really pleased that the paving area’s came up really well.
